Simeon Daise, South Carolina bred actor, writer, and director, is no stranger to the entertainment industry. As a child, he starred in Nickelodeon’s hit television show Gullah Gullah Island alongside his family, and has remained a constant figure in television and film.
Some of his credits include: Tyler Perry’s 'The Haves and the Have Nots', BET’s The Bobby Brown Story, BET’s American Soul, Cheaper by the Dozen on Disney+, All American on The CW/ Netflix, and FX's hit show Snowfall.
Simeon is a reiki master and a prominent advocate for his Gullah Geechee Culture. His production company, Saltwata Films, works to highlight Southern Folklore and other stories of the Diaspora with the aim of inciting healing through the reclamation of our narratives.
ShaVaughn Elle
Writer, medium, and creative practitioner, ShaVaughn Elle shares her divinely guided thoughts on pleasure, relationships, and spirituality as it relates to our human experience. In 2021, she created The Muse's Lab—a playscape where those desiring to learn more and explore the nuances of sex, spirituality, and sensuality, while also learning to become the "muse" of their own life's journey, can come in play “inside the lab.”
A former ghostwriter and editorial consultant, ShaVaughn has contributed written pieces to feminine-centric brands such as The Single Wive's Club and Pretty Entrepreneurs, sexual wellness brands such as NSFW, and recently published with Blackstack Magazine—a publication centering Black culture. She has also sat on panels with Endo Black, as well as facilitated numerous workshops and classes on spiritual development, sexual expressions, musing the erotic in writing, and various journaling sessions.
Currently, ShaVaughn hosts The Muse's Lab Podcast, is an adjunct professor at Montclair State University, and "daylights" as a marketing professional.

James E. Stewart IV, a native of Durham, North Carolina, brings over two decades of experience as a dedicated practitioner of the Hoodoo tradition. As the author of THE HOODOO HANDBOOK, James has shared insights into the intricacies of Hoodoo practices, offering readers a comprehensive guide to harnessing the power of ancestral magic for personal empowerment and spiritual growth.
Brendane A. Tynes
Dr. Brendane A. Tynes (she/they) is an Afro-Carolinian queer Black feminist scholar, storyteller, Hoodoo, and student of Ifa. She is host and producer of the podcast black. loved. free., a spiritual-political podcast that examines Black feminist political theory and Black and Indigenous spirituality.
